Welcome to the Tudor Dixon podcast. Today I want to get into something that is affecting Michigan, but it could affect every single one of you.

And you may not even know that this is happening, but we have these organizations. You've heard me talk about them before.

I mean, we talked about the woktipus. And this is kind of like an extension of that because there are these outside groups, we call them, that come into states.

They don't necessarily have anything to do with the state or people that live there.

But they try to pass these radical agendas that they want to pass across the country.

And they got Michigan on one of these.

It's called one fair wage.

It always sounds lovely. That's the

other thing about it. They always name them something phenomenal. And everybody's like,

yes, of course, I would love one fair wage. Why would I not agree to this? So in Michigan's case,

they came into our state. They wanted to put a ballot initiative on the ballot. They went around and they talked to people

about signing because you have to have a massive amount of signatures. So they went out and they

gathered signatures and they said, wouldn't you like to see everybody have at least $13 an hour

or more? And of course, people were like, yeah, why wouldn't I? Yes, I will sign up for that.

Well, ultimately, once you

get into the fine print of the ballot proposal, which did pass in Michigan in 2018, a lot of

really negative effects happened because of this. And so the best person I thought I could

bring on today is Michigan State Representative Bill Shudy to come and talk about what happened in Michigan,

but from a national standpoint of what could happen to all of us.
