My guest today recently wrote a piece in the Federalist that caught my attention,

0:20.8

caught my attention obviously because of my recent election, but he wrote about the

0:26.2

nonpartisan dark money groups. Democrats are using to overtake Michigan elections. Now,

0:32.5

I've been trying to tell people all about this, but conservatives don't seem to be hearing it and

0:38.3

they don't seem to be getting that elections have changed. We need to change with them if we're going

0:43.6

to win. I'm going to say that again. We have to change what we're doing in elections if we're going

0:48.8

to win because Democrats have changed what they're doing. And so that's why I'm really excited to

0:54.5

talk to my guest today. The same old groups that you support right now in the conservative movement,

1:00.3

they're just not cutting it. They're not cutting edge. We're going to learn about that in this

1:05.0

podcast. We're going to learn about what the Democrats are doing and hopefully that means we're

1:09.1

going to learn about what we need to be doing. So I would ask you if you are donating to groups that

1:15.8

say they are going to win elections, have them specifically tell you what is your plan to win

1:22.3

that election? What will you do on the ground? What will you do to reach people? You need to fully

1:28.4

understand what they're going to do. And I want you to fully understand what the other side is doing.

1:34.3

And that's why I'm joined today by Sam Lair. He is a PhD student at Hillsdale College right here

1:40.6

in the beautiful state of Michigan. He's studying political theory and statesmanship of the American

1:45.8

founding. Really, Sam, I'm so excited to have you here today. I'm so excited to talk about this

1:50.8

because I'm serious. It's been something that I've been trying to tell people we need to change

1:56.4

the way we're doing elections, but you have the deep dive into what Democrats are doing specifically

2:02.0

in Michigan. So I want to get right into that. Thanks for joining me. So pleasure to be here. I'm
