It's amazing if you would have told me even last year at this time this is what I would be doing I would have laughed because I was supposed to be in dental school this year

And so my life clearly I'm not working on teeth my life has just changed drastically over this past year.

But it's so important what you're doing because I was so drawn to your story

when it first came out. Obviously I'm also a University of Kentucky

grad so that's part of it but I'm also a woman so that's a bigger part of it because

we watched this and it was funny because we're watching from afar as Leah Thomas is taking all of these awards and getting

all these accolades and covers of magazines and we're saying how all,

and covers of magazines, and we're saying, how is this possible?

Because first of all, honestly, we don't hear that much

about Star Swimmers.

It's not as though it becomes weeks worth of national news, but it was suddenly.

And here we're hearing about a man who is swimming in the women's division, dressed in his women's swimsuit, but an intact

male in the locker room.

And we're not really, you know, I think from the perspective of the rest of the world.
