Just to give you guys an idea of what the structure of this podcast is, we are going to each kind of present a topic, the topic of the day, to each other, and then kind of guide a bit of a discussion on it. This episode is on the Try Guys, or more specifically, Ned Fulmer, and the controversy that has been surrounding them recently, which has been a very hot

button issue for some reason. For some reason, but also for us, we've been thinking and

talking about this one. A lot. A lot. So, on September 2nd, 2020, a user on R-slash Try Guys, a subreddit dedicated to the decidedly

millennial YouTube channel where four BuzzFeed expats try new things for the enjoyment

of millions, which has taken off into a multi-platform enterprise, gaining 11 spin-off series

and a show on the Food Network,

ominously let slip in an argument that Ned Filmer, one of the channel's founders and designated wife guy, openly cheats on his wife, Ariel.

Members of the subreddit then began noticing a conspicuous absence of Fullmer from the new

videos, as well as the channel's intro sequence, which he had taken part in filming.

Blurry videos of Fullmer and an associate producer of the channel, Alexandria Haring, engaging in

public intimacy, were then posted on the Reddit, with users as well as Herring's fiancé

of 10 years, confirming that Fulmer and Herring were on a business trip together in New York

around the time that these videos were dated. Rumors started circulating more widely and were

confirmed by Fulmer on September 27th when he posted on Instagram, quote, family should have always been

my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship. I'm sorry for any pain
