and in probably the clearest form that you're going to hear it described in

because he's done so much research and he's worked hard to put things that are very confusing

into language that makes it easier to understand and also easier to see why it's headspinning.

Chris Shelton is an author, podcaster, and former member of the Church of Scientology's

upper echelon, the C organization. That's SEA Organization. Since leaving Scientology in 2013, he has been dedicated to exposing the abuses

of destructive cults and high control groups through his YouTube channel, where he promotes

critical thinking and education as the solutions to the cult problem overall.

I'm so happy to have you on today, and I know that we do a lot of cross-pollination. And I'm on your shows and you're on mine. And there is a, it's like a mutual appreciation society. Because I not only have you experienced things firsthand, but you've studied them.

And you have, you've not only studied them in terms of the details of what happened,

but also what happens to your mind, what happens to yourself when these things happen

and how the structure came to be, that kind of structure.

And you are detail oriented. So people can benefit from getting so many of the details.
