Good to see all of you.

We're going to talk tonight about some true things you learn

just by investigating true crimes.

And I think it's an important topic for me because I needed to know if Christianity was true

before I could decide if it was good.

Because I thought, well if it's not not true how could it be good?

So for me the entire thing came down to investigating

whether I should trust this guy is who he said he was.

Well look I was 35, wasn't raised in the church, didn't have any Christian friends.

My wife and I were together about 18 years

before we stepped foot in a church in Orange County

and listened to a guy talk about Jesus.

And this guy said that Jesus was the smartest man who ever lived.

And I wasn't even sure there was good evidence for the existence of God, let alone the existence

of Jesus and who he might be.

So I thought, I don't know.

Well, it turns out there is actually good evidence.

You can make a case for God.

And I try to do this in a book called God's Crime Scene.

I think there's actually eight lines of evidence just in the universe that demonstrate that this is a good inference that God exists.

But even if God existed, why would we think that Jesus is the God who existed?
