I want to talk to you about something that's much more teaching oriented than

exhortation this morning. I feel I'm prompted to do this. I do have a couple of

concerns and sometimes I like to share, like you know singers like to share

songwriters like to share the context of why they wrote the song. And I oftentimes

feel like teaching isn't really complete unless you understand what brought

about these thoughts.

And I have some deep concerns about truth,

about the Bible, about the way we relate to the Bible,

and about the way we receive from the Bible,

and about the way we apply the Bible.

And frankly, I have concerns about the value

that we don't have for the Bible in much of our movement.

And I'm talking about our own movement,

that some of us have lost,

were so into experience that we've lost sight of,

the foundation of experience actually is founded in the Bible.

And I read the Bible every day,

and I have for nearly 35 or 36 years.

I may have missed, I probably missed 100 days

of reading the Bible, fell asleep or something before,

but I mean, I really have a deep, deep love for the Bible.

I really do, and I pray often,
