Well, go with me if you would to Hebrews the fourth chapter, Hebrews chapter four, and verse 14.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God,

let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities,

but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin.

Now let's just stop here.

He's talking about temptation.

He's talking about sin.

And yet he's talking about confession.

Is there a connection between overcoming temptation of sin and the confession of your mouth?

Oh, there is.

We're going to read in just a moment about how Jesus can help us, help us wonderfully when we are tempted.

But here we already see, he is that, you know, if you back up in the book of Hebrews,

both in the third chapter and the fourth chapter,

talks about him being the apostle and the high priest of our confession.

Does it matter what we say?

Oh, it matters what we say. Does it matter what we say? Oh, it matters what we say. Does it matter what we say

when we're under pressure, when we're being pushed, when we're being tempted? Would it make a difference

in him being able to help us or not being able to help us? Him being able to help us a lot or not being able to help us. Him being able to help us a lot

or not being able to help us very much.

Does he work with what we say?
