Welcome to the Intercooler Podcast. This is episode 144 of the Intercooler Podcast with me Dan Prosser and Andrea Frankel, my co-host, we're covering lots of ground this week.

We start by reviewing a couple of quite important new or newish performance cars.

And then we try and do something we don't do very often on this

podcast we try and have a grown-up discussion. We talk about EVs and the

reality of living with an EV and who they do suit, who they don't suit, it's an important

discussion. So yeah, we get onto that, we start by talking about the M4 CSL and the Honda Civic type are.

About electric cars, yeah, I mean, it doesn't come naturally naturally to us but we'll give it a go

so I saw from your Twitter over the weekend you've been knocking about in the

BMW M4 CSL it looks like you took it on your your test route that you take all test cars.

I haven't driven this car yet. I'm hoping to have a go in it this week, but it's one of those cars from BMW that I find it quite easy to be a bit cynical about.

Because it's called CSL, it's actually more than 1,700 kilos, which is exactly L is it L for lightweight but this is

2023 and there are now three ton passenger cars on the road. I don't love the

way it looks and I've driven a few similarly configured high performance

BMW cars recently that I haven't really got along with.

However, there are other, you know, I'm thinking the M5 CS which is a

triumph. So I'm trying to figure out where in a moment sort of that the CSL sits.
