It's a pleasure to be here. Thank you for having me.

Before we begin, I simplified it. Your title, Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist, but you got a bigger name for that.

Help me pronounce that because it's quite a, quite a title.

Yeah, it's probably unnecessarily complicated, but it's otolaryngology.

Otolaryngology.

I always like to learn new words and terms. And so as we started this, of course, on the first take, I butchered it. And I'll probably butcher it again. And I will probably continue to call you an ear, nose and throat specialist. But your training, you know, is I think if you look at your training, where you began, where you served,

what you have accomplished in your medical life, you are well respected just about everywhere.

You did, am I correct in saying you did your intern work, residency work, excuse me, at Stanford?

Yeah, I started off in Texas, but then I transferred and I finished at Stanford.

So I did two years at UTMB in Galveston and three years at Stanford, and the experiences could not

have been more different. There were night and day, which was very, it was a learning experience in a good way.
