Listen up, ladies. Jumping into a cold tub may not always be the best idea.

A woman's menstrual cycle plays a major role on how cold affects her.

Women's bodies are going to respond differently to cold when there are hormonal fluctuations.

For example, during a woman's luteal phase, her progesterone is high.

So her core body temperature is naturally a bit higher and some research is suggesting that women may feel cold or faster in this phase.

On the other hand, in the first half of the cycle, when estrogen is higher, women might actually get a slightly bigger metabolic boost from cold exposure.

What does that mean is that based on a woman's cycle, her tolerance and benefit from cold may vary throughout
