Once again, the Trump regime is trampling all over the First Amendment and engaging in blatant state censorship.

And, of course, they've got lots of help.

Over the weekend, a 60-minute segment was abruptly pulled by CBS News.

And this was reportedly done at the behest of the new editor-in-chief, yet another unqualified hack who is getting rich

simply because she's an unqualified hack willing to do the bidding of the Trump regime,

and that would be Barry Weiss in this particular case.

The 60-minute segment entitled Inside SICOT investigated the Trump regime's deportation

of Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador's notorious Seacot prison. It was set to include testimony

from former detainees who described brutal, torturous conditions. Those images matched those of a

recent Human Rights watch report,

documenting abuses and violations of international standards inside the facility. In other words,

this was the kind of hard-hitting newspiece that has given 60 minutes its sterling reputation

over the decades, and it is yet another sign of the degradation

of the leadership of the network and the media corporation that owns 60 minutes of just how

much trouble this country is in if we refuse to protect real journalism and real journalists.

The leadership at CBS claimed the peace was shelved because the Trump regime refused to be interviewed

or comment on the reporting, which is absurd. Any subject of a news report or analysis must be informed and must be given the opportunity to respond,

but they can also refuse to do so, which should never interfere with whether or not a piece is published.

The segment's correspondent Sharon Alfancy wrote an email to the show's producers expressing her concerns about the network's action. She also addresses

the so-called concern that the piece shouldn't run without White House comment, Alfonzi

wrote in part, quote, Our story was screened five times and cleared by both CBS attorneys

and standards and practices. In my view, pulling it now, after every rigorous internal check has been met,
