Summary

Donald Trump and Elon Musk have been locked in a public fight after Musk spent days bashing Trump's "big, beautiful bill" — a multi-trillion dollar budget key to unlocking the president's agenda currently being voted on in the Senate. In return, the president threatened to cut the federal government's contracts with Musk's companies, including SpaceX.Patrick's Books:Statistics For The Trading Floor: https://amzn.to/3eerLA0Derivatives For The Trading Floor: https://amzn.to/3cjsyPFCorporate Finance: https://amzn.to/3fn3rvC Ways To Support The ChannelPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/PatrickBoyleOnFinanceBuy Me a Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/patrickboyleVisit our website: https://www.onfinance.orgFollow Patrick on Twitter Here: https://bsky.app/profile/pboyle.bsky.socialBusiness Inquiries ➡️ sponsors@onfinance.org

Look, there's been a big breakup this week and sometimes in situations like this, people

0:05.7

say nasty things that they don't really mean. But also, sometimes they say nasty things

0:11.2

that they do really mean. And I get the feeling that we're in the latter type of situation

0:16.4

this time around. Just six months ago, Elon Musk was on top of the world.

0:21.8

He had funded Donald Trump's election win, jumped around behind him on stage in a show of support,

1:12.1

positive things about Elon too on his version of Twitter, but I guess because of all of the

1:17.3

drama yesterday, everyone was trying to see what was being said on Trump Twitter and the website

1:23.3

crashed, leaving only this somewhat sad message that there are no truths.

1:29.5

But it did at least let us know that in this post-truth world, that in the event that

1:34.8

Donald Trump does compose a truth, we will be able to find it right there.

1:39.8

So I suppose we should keep an eye out for that.

1:43.3

There's no way around it though.

1:44.9

Elon Musk was off to a great start in January.
