Here's the thing. This is obviously a very sensitive topic. The Russia stuff.

And so not only did Jeff Sessions lie, he lied.

Let's be honest.

Whatever his motivation was, maybe it slipped his mind, whatever.

But at the end of the day, it was not truthful.

So it was a lie.

Lying about an issue as sensitive as Russia, you can't get that wrong.

You can't goof that up.

And if you do, get ready for the backlash.

Look, and there's this Republican defense of him that's saying, well, you know, when he was responding to Franken, he was responding to breaking news and he was, he didn't know it.

I think he said it in his press conference.

I was just sort of shocked by the news and all that.

Look, Russia was a big story at that point.

So either one of two things happened.

Either he, I mean, he should have been prepared to answer any connections and conversations he had with Russia.

That should have been an easy one any connections and conversations he had to crush it.

That should have been an easy one.

So either he didn't prepare and there was gross incompetence or he went in and lied.

Yeah, that's fair.

I think that is a very fair characterization of what happened. Now, let me ask you this, because they're now like lining up

all these different Trump administration officials who admit that they have met with Russia.
