Summary

Welcome to Spooky Month!

On November 13, 1974, Ronald DeFeo Jr. re-entered Henry’s, a local bar in Amityville, Long Island, with a devastating discovery. According to onlookers, the 23-year-old began to shout: “You’ve got to help me! I think my mother and father were shot!” A small group followed him a few blocks down to his home at 112 Ocean Avenue where they discovered that not only had DeFeo’s mother and father been killed in their beds, but so had all four of his younger siblings. Everyone except Ronald.

Perhaps this story doesn’t sound familiar to you, but the events in that house in Amityville with the eye-like windows would go on to be the basis for one of the most well-known hauntings in American history. Join us won’t you? For an extra spooky episode of 10 Minute Murder as we take a look at the true story of the Amityville Horror.
