0:10.8	Scary movie fans, such as myself, will hear that a movie is based on a true story.
0:19.0	A few of them we already know, but most, well, we never go on to find out just what that true story is.
0:28.2	So in this series, we will explore and find out exactly what the true story is behind the movies we love.
0:39.0	The 2013 movie The Conjuring starts us off with the Warrens who are sitting with three
0:45.2	teenagers and they're speaking about a doll. That of course is the theme of a
0:50.7	completely separate movie.
0:53.1	Then we see the Warrens in some sort of auditorium speaking to a class about a case that
0:58.1	they have studied.
1:00.4	Then we go to the Perrin family as they are moving into their newly purchased 18th century farmhouse with a lot of acreage in rural Rhode Island.
1:12.0	Almost immediately the movie shows us how the
1:15.5	paranormal activity begins. From the beginning their family dog wants nothing to do with the house refusing to come inside.
1:26.0	One of the daughters finds the dog dead unfortunately the next morning.
1:31.0	But the children find the
1:33.4	begin playing and one of the children finds the famous music box with the
1:38.3	red and white striped umbrella that has a mirror on the other side.
1:43.0	One of the girls encourages the mother to look into that mirror.
1:48.0	There is a spiral on the mirror that spins and sort of a cartoonish clown that pops up and down as she
1:54.9	looks inside the mirror. We see the mother's eyes in the mirror as she's kind of
2:01.2	looking behind her.
2:03.0	It appears that she sees some sort of shadowy figure just as her daughter pops out and there's
2:09.0	a jump scare for her mom.
