So I've seen lives changed. I've seen students learn and discover who they are in Christ, how much God loves

them. And now, here's Andrew. Welcome to our Tuesday's broadcast of the gospel truth. Today I'm

continuing to teach on a series that I've entitled The True Nature of God. The very fact that I've entitled

that the true nature of God. The very fact that I've entitled that the true nature of God

implies that there are false impressions about the nature of God. And I believe that that's so. God

has been maligned and misrepresented and because of it people don't want to get close to a God who's liable to make your child be a,

you know, some kind of a quadriplegic because he loves you so much.

There's religion says those kind of things.

That God is the one who put all of this sickness and disease.

God is one who causes all of this stuff.

That's a lie about God. That is not the true

nature of God. Now there are some things in the Bible, specifically, primarily in the Old Testament,

that reveal a harshness and a punishment of God, but there is a reason for that. And the very fact that

God waited 2,000 years after Adam and Eve's sin in the garden

until he gave the law to Moses, says volumes.

It says that it never was God's best to start revealing and punishing our sin.

But people begin to take God's lack of punishment

upon their sin as approval or at the very least indifference towards sin. And because of it, sin

began to multiply in the earth and man's lifespan came from 969 years old.

That was Methuselah down to where people were dying at a very young age.
