I've loved this collection, Jesus, in his own words, and we've been talking about who does

Jesus tell us that he is, straight to the source.

Nobody's opinion, know what does somebody say about him, but what does he say about himself?

This is the most important question of all time. And we've looked at things like Jesus' claims

that he was the son of man, that he was the Lamb of God, the resurrection and the life. Last week,

he claims, I am the way, the truth, and the life. And today we're going to look at a claim

Jesus makes about himself found in John

chapter 6. So if you have your copy of scripture, I'd invite you to open it and turn to John

chapter 6. This is the longest chapter in John's gospel, one of the longest chapters in the New

Testament, 71 verses. So hope you don't have brunch plans today.

Kidding, only, kind of kidding.

It's not only one of the longest chapters, it's one of the most important chapters in John's gospel.

And really, in essence, it's one long, beautiful, clear sermon from Jesus. It contains the

first of the seven I am statements, which is what we're going to look at today, found in John 6,

verse 35. This really is our key verse. We're going to read a lot of other scripture, but let's just start with the key verse

for the day.
