Music start here. I'm Brad Milkey. When we talk about the issue of gun violence in this country, that is usually

shorthand for gun violence by men. Like, when you look at the statistics, there is just no

comparison. Men and boys account for the vast, vast majority of this nation's shootings.

The DOJ puts it north of 97%.

Well, the shooter who opened fire on a study hall at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin,

killing two and injuring several more, has been identified as a 15-year-old girl.

And in that regard, this is statistically extraordinary.

But in so many ways, her background is starting to look very distressingly familiar.
