I'm recording this on Sunday, June 8th, 2025.

U.S. President Donald Trump has just deployed the National Guard in Los Angeles,

and it's a move made in response to escalating protests in the city over a

crackdown on immigrants there and in the United States. And while this is an extremely

controversial power play by the White House, Trump has a country full of supporters who are

cheering them on.

Sean Foyt is one of them.

He's the former Bethel Church worship leader who was one of the primary focuses of season two of this podcast.

The season involved me tracking his ministry back in 2020, and that year,

he started holding worship concerts in defiance of mask mandates and restrictions on public gatherings.

He called these events, let us worship, and five years later, he's still touring. But this weekend,

not only is Sean Foyt cheering on this mass deportation effort,

he believes the devil is at play with these protests, that they are part of Satan's plan to stop America from becoming the country that it's truly meant to be. That would be a nation centered

around the Christian God, a nation with biblical laws and moral order,

a nation that is driven by a patriotic, militant, and self-entitled spirit, and call it coincidence

or divine intervention. But on this very same weekend, as these new rounds of raids took place,

and protesters were just starting to rise up, Sean Foyt just happened to be holding one of

his worship concerts on a roof right there in downtown Los Angeles. So we are in downtown L.A.

at Soundcheck on a rooftop.

I mean, God, this is so punk rock.
