And we have the agape boxes we always do there on the information table for ties and offerings.

And with that, let's get into the Word of God. On Sunday mornings, we're going through 2 Corinthians now,

chapter by chapter and verse by verse. And we'll finish chapter two today. Our text will be verses 12

through 17. So once you find your way there in your Bibles, I'll ask you to stand if you're

able and you can follow along as I read. The Apostle Paul, by the Holy Spirit, is writing to the Corinthian Christians and says verse 12,

now, when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and found that the Lord had opened

a door for me, I still had no peace of mind, verse 13.

And here's why. It's because I did not find my brother

Titus there. So I said goodbye to them and went on to Macedonia. But thanks be to God,

who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma

of the knowledge of Him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

To the one, verse 16, we are an aroma that brings death to the other, an aroma that brings

life, and who is equal to such a task.

Unlike so many verse 17, we do not peddle the word of God for profit.

On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity as those sent from God.

Let's pray, we'll ask God's blessing on our understanding if you would join with me.

Thank you, Lord.

Thank you for your word.

Lord, thank you that it doesn't matter where we're at in your word, it's always where

we're at in our walk with you.

Thank you that your word is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.

Lord, we desire for you as uncomfortable as it might be to take the sword of your word and begin that work in our hearts. Lord thank you in Jesus name. Amen. You can be seated. Thank you.
