We all know it's important to say "bonjour" no matter where you are in France. That's hardly a secret.
But let me tell you, there's no better way to get a conversation going than to ask "ca va?" directly afterwards.
French people will disagree with me, but ignore them: this is a foreigner hack that absolutely works.
The tone, accent, and body language are all important too... but believe me, this works.
This episode is me explaining perhaps the one part of my new book that people keep asking me about - and that has apparently changed the life of one French follower. Imagine that.

1:07.6 | Hello again, guys. So when I do these kind of episodes, I can take it a little bit more chilled because I'm not trying to promote some guests or whatever. That music you just heard it from Slim and the Beast, it's a song they made for our honeymoon. And the same music, well, not the same music exactly, but in the audio book I've just recorded for my book, it was Aaron from Slim and the Beast that did all the guitar all the way through it. But that's not what we're here to talk about today. We're |

1:53.6 | was, you need to be 80 years old before you write a memoir. But then I read it and I understood it. It's like a slice of your life at an interesting time in Paris. |
2:03.1 | And he's exactly right. |
2:04.3 | That's what this is. |
