I do not believe so, but I'm not certain.

If the defendant and her daughter were interviewed as witnesses, why were they left with a victim

advocate? In other words, were they considered victims or witnesses? So our victim services section,

I introduced Lori to them specifically because there are civilian employees

that work within our police department that can help families with death investigations

for the issues that come up afterwards and kind of navigating that process. So although they might not be classified under like state law as victims,

our victim services section will often help our families with like specific crisis type

events and navigating that process.

So we use them quite a bit in our death investigations.

On question form number 13, did Lori express concerns about police talking with Ty Lee at the time of the interview?

She did not.

Does law enforcement have to advise interviewees they are being audio and or video recording?

They do not.

There is no expectation of privacy within a police station.
