Welcome back to Buckeye Talk, Stephen Means, Nathan Baird, and Drew Gillis.

And the big news of today is Ohio State will be playing Missouri on December 29th

in the Cotton Bowl. No playoff. Second time in the Orion Day era that Ohio State has failed to make the college football playoff

which felt like it was known going into Sunday. It's just it's kind of laughable how out of the conversation they were and compared to some other teams who were

maybe friends to playoff. Obviously it's going to be Michigan against Alabama at the Rose Bowl and then

Washington at Tech in Texas playing in the Sugar Bowl,

they once again playing Missouri in the Cotton Bowl.

We did talk to Ryan Day, though not directly after

but later on that afternoon after that announcement

and the playoff announcement and all that.

And there was a lot to get into because we hadn't talked Nathan to Ryan Day since Ohio State's lost to Michigan

almost two and a half weeks now.

And let's just start with the biggest thing I think that came out of this

day in terms of us talking to Ryan Day and that's that Ryan Day got asked a couple of

different ways whether or not Kyle McCord is the starting quarterback.

Whether that means in the future or just for this bull game and Nathan he didn't necessarily say yes or no.

Very open-ended. Like seem like he's very open-minded to what's happening going forward.

And it's two different questions because he was asked both is, well he was asked a lot of different things regarding quarterback.
