November 24th, 1956. Laplace, Louisiana.

46-year-old family man Thomas Hoetard and 31-year-old single mother Audrey Moote

meet up to continue their secret affair.

Following day, Thomas' body is discovered inside his vehicle at a remote swamp area with a shotgun blast to the back of his head.

Even though Audrey's clothing is scattered throughout the scene, she is vanished without a trace.

Two decades later, a dying man confesses that his spouse was responsible for murdering the couple and disposing of Audrey's body,

but no evidence is found to support his story and Audrey remains a missing person.

After that, the trail went cold.
