30-year-old housewife and mother Joan Rich, vanishes from her home and the evidence at the scene suggests a violent abduction.

Witnesses report seeing a bloody disoriented woman matching Joan's description, walking down the road that day,

but this woman is never found.

Investigators eventually uncover evidence to suggest that Joan might have decided to stay drone disappearance,

causing debate about whether she was really attacked or took off voluntarily.

After that, the trail went cold.

I'm your host Robin Warder and today we are going to be featuring one of this podcast most requested missing persons cases,

the 1961 disappearance of Joan Rich.

I've had quite a few people ask that I cover this one, including a listener named Stacey and another listener named Alan,

who made a post about the case in our Facebook discussion group and the responses clearly indicated that this was in high demand for the show.
