June 16th, 1991. Denver, Colorado.

An armed gunman commits a robbery from the underground vault at the United Bank Tower on Father's Day

and makes off with $197,000 in cash.

In the process, he fatally shoots four guards.

33-year-old William McCollum Jr.

41-year-old Philip Mancough, 21 year old Scott McCarthy, and 21 year old

Todd Wilson.

Two and a half weeks later, a 54 year old retired police officer named King, who once worked as a guard at the bank,

is arrested and charged with the robbery and the murders.

However, since the stolen money has never recovered, and no physical evidence links King to the crime.

He is acquitted of all charges at trial, so the Father's Day bank massacre remained shrouded in mystery.

After that, the trail went cold. Oh, uh, and uh, and uh,
