The body of 16-year-old Lucia Kai Roberts is found in Franklin Park and her cause of

death is ruled to be strangulation.

Over one year later, allegations emerge about a black girl who was sexually assaulted by

multiple police officers at a private club, and since this incident supposedly took place

six weeks before Lucia was killed, their speculation that she was the victim.

Even though the Boston Police Department is accused of orchestrating a major cover-up,

multiple investigations fail to turn up any evidence to support this theory, and Lucia's

murder is never solved.

After that, the trail went cold.

to cover this week.

The 92 murder of Lucia Kai Roberts.

This is a story which garnered a lot of attention in the Boston area during the 1980s, but

it is not particularly well known, and has pretty much been forgotten about today.

The victim here was a 16-year-old girl who hailed from the African country of Liberia and

had relocated to the United States a few years before she was strangled to death.

As far as I can tell, Lucia Kai Roberts' murder received virtually no media coverage

for over a year until a veteran Boston Police detective named Richard Armstedt went public

with a shocking story.
