The children of 36 year old John Marclay and his 32 year old wife Shelley Marclay return

home from school and discover that their parents are not there.

The couple's pickup truck is also missing and it is soon found abandoned in a nearby town.

It turns out that on the morning they disappeared, John and Shelley were seeing caching a check

at a bank's drive-through window and even though the teller recalls seeing another man

inside the truck with them, he is never identified and no trace of the Marclays has ever found.

After that, the trail went cold.

I'm your host Robin Warrter and today we're going to be exploring a very strange missing

persons case involving a married couple, the 1995 disappearances of John and Shelley

Marclay.

On last week's episode, I covered two separate cases where one half of a couple was murdered

and the other half went missing, so this week I thought I would now focus on a mystery

where a couple went missing together.

I first learned about this case when I came across a post about it on the unresolved

mystery subreddit two months ago and it's definitely a weird one.

It involves a couple named John and Shelley Marclay who lived in a rural home with their

five children but when the kids returned home from school one day they were surprised to

discover that their parents had vanished.
