After showing up at Cedarage High School, 17-year-old Roger Ellison places his books inside

his locker, but he never attends any of his classes that day and banishes without a trace.

One of Roger's teachers comes under suspicion when he allegedly makes some bizarre statements

to Roger's mother, but no evidence links him to Roger's disappearance.

Over the years, there are a number of odd developments, including a deathbed confession from a witness

who claimed he saw Roger being held at gunpoint in the woods, but Roger's body is never

found, and there are no answers about what happened to him.

After that, the trail went cold.

I'm your host Robin Warder, and this week we're going to be exploring an unsolved case involving

a missing high school student, the 1981 disappearance of Roger Ellison.

I first became familiar with this story when I featured it in an article I published

for listfirst.com nine years ago titled, 10 cases of students banishing from their schools,

and I've since received a couple of requests to cover it as I don't believe the cases

have been featured on many podcasts.

It involves a 17-year-old student named Roger Ellison who showed up for school on morning

and was last seen placing books inside his locker before he told one of his friends he
