Oslo, Norway.

The body of a woman is found inside room 2805 of the Oslo Plaza Hotel, and since a pistol

is in her hand, she appears to be the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Three days earlier, she ejected into the hotel under the name Jennifer Fairgate, but the

name turns out to be fake, and since she has no identification in her possession, the

woman remains a Jane Doe.

There are a number of strange details which lead to speculation that Jennifer might have

been a spy and was actually the victim of foul play, but all attempts to identify her

are unsuccessful.

After that, the trail went cold.

I'm your host Robin Warder, and we are going to be traveling to Norway in order to explore

a mystery involving an unidentified deceit.

The 1995 death of a woman known only as Jennifer Fairgate.

As I'm sure you know, just under two years ago, this story was featured on an episode

of season two of the Netflix reboot of Unsolved Mysteries.

Not surprisingly, I've received a lot of requests to cover this case, both before and

after the Unsolved Mysteries episode aired, and this marks the first time this podcast

has ever explored a mystery from Norway.
