I'm your host Robin Warder and today we're traveling overseas to Ireland and profiling a number of different missing persons cases in order to explore a very interesting topic.

This is a recurring monthly contest which we've been carrying on for the past two years, and if you'd like to enter and haven't already done so, I will be providing instructions at the end of this episode.

Anyways, you can probably tell by her accent Dara hails from Ireland, and this was the story she requested I cover on the podcast when she originally entered the contest.

During the intro, she mentioned the 1993 disappearance of Annie McCarock, which generated a lot of publicity at the time since Annie was an American citizen who had moved to Ireland only a few months before she went missing.

But her case only turned out to be the tip of the iceberg, as over the course of the next five years, seven other young women would vanish without a trace in a specific area outside of Dublin, roughly within the boundaries of the province of Lester.

Once you mapped out the locations of all these disappearances, the area in which they took place resembled a triangle, which is how the vanishing triangle nickname came about.

Anyway, this is caused speculation that a serial killer may have been responsible for murdering some or all of these missing women.
