And I'm Liz Hall. A quick warning, before we get into the detail here, we are talking again about some medical evidence that people may well find distressing.

Today we've got John McGowan for Zachalese please interviews when he said being at the hospital

on the day Preston died was hell. He said he felt as if he was in a soap opera. But while

his partner Jamie Varley was running around and screaming like a

headless chicken, he simply went into shock. Preston's foster mom, Sandra Cooper, was also called

back to court to categorically refute the claims that she'd advised the men to allow Preston

time to play naked.

And a child sex abuse expert confirmed his frozen gazes and the injuries he'd suffered indicated he'd been mistreated and sexually assaulted before he died.

Been in court for the last few days.

And we're nearing actually the end of the prosecution case now.

So it's likely in the next few days the defence case will start. And of course, Jamie Varley and John McGowan

for Zachily deny harming Preston Davy in any way after they became his adoptive parents.

Quick reminder, I suppose, of the charges. In total, Jamie Varley is accused of 25 offences.

Now, in addition to the charge of murder, he is

accused of three charges of sexual assault, one of inflicting grievous bodily harm, five counts

of child cruelty, 14 counts of making indecent images of a child, and one charge of distributing

an indecent image of a child.
