On July 24, 2007, a young girl met her end when in the care of a mother who, as far as the courts were concerned, was the best person to care for the two-year-old in question.

On October 29, 2007, the body of a young girl was found floating inside Galveston Bay, Texas,

by a fisherman, a body that was inside of a blue storage container and wrapped in plastic trash bags.

When taken to the local coroner, they discovered that their victim, a Jane slash baby doe at the time,

suffered from three skull fractures with other injuries that closely mirrored a fall from a high rooftop.

Because of this, the case was immediately switched over to a homicide.

Needing an identification, police turned the body over to forensic artist Lois Gibson, who took the unrecognizable remains and attempted to give her her name back.

Until that could happen, she was lovingly referred to as Baby Grace.

The reconstruction was released to the public and, thankfully, ended up in the hands of a woman named Cheryl,

who, in contacting police, said she was the paternal grandmother of baby Grace. DNA testing later confirmed the fact and she was officially identified on November 30, 2007. With her identification,
