Summary

As the Andy Williams song goes "...there'll be scary ghost stories, and tales of the glories of Chistmases long, long ago..." but who actually tells ghost stories as part of their Christmas tradition? Truth is, at one point in our history it was common place. Perhaps the most famous ghost story of all is a Christmas story, and vice versa - Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. JV Johnson talks with author/speaker Colin Dickey about this tradition - its origins, its meaning & its fate. 12/24/2019 - Beyond Reality Paranormal.

Let's go beyond reality.

Sometimes it's the normal. Sometimes it's the abnormal and sometimes it's the paranormal,

I can't believe that another year has just sped by and every year gets faster and faster. I don't know what it is about it,

0:46.3

but nobody ever explains why it gets faster as you get older. But it does. It gets a lot

faster. So as we reflect on the year behind us, I hope everybody

0:55.6

has an opportunity to spend the next few days with friends, family, people they love,

1:00.7

and an opportunity to enjoy these holidays. I wish that for everybody. We have some

1:08.7

pretty exciting news here, and I've kind of been teasing it for a while.

There is a major shift going on in the media marketplace, and as somebody who has been in radio

1:21.9

for 30-some years, not just in radio, but I've actually owned over 30, well, about 30 radio stations

1:29.3

over the course of my career. And a fabulous business that I fell in love with when I was a very

1:34.2

young child. But it's changing. Everything is changing and is changing rapidly. The days of

1:41.7

getting into your vehicle and turning on the local radio station, they're still here.

1:48.5

However, when you get in that vehicle now, you have all sorts of options for listening.

And as the media marketplace, particularly for this type of program changes, we have made a very, very conscious decision to change with it.
