As you know, there is an important and very, very important political decision that's going to be made this week.

And that, of course, is the election for a new chair of the Democratic National Committee. You know, I've been around this

democratic politics for a long time. I never remember. Usually it's the president who appoints

the chair of the DNC or the RNC, like President Trump appointed Mitt Romney's niece

to lead the RNC this year, the new chair, to take Reinsprev's place. I don't even know her name,

but she's there. And so there's never any big drama about it. But boy, there is this time

because it's an open seat, President Obama

out of office, no clear person who could say no clear leader of the Democratic Party now. So it's

been wide open. There has been as many as seven candidates. And we've had most of them here

in studio. We've really tried to get Keith Ellison in, but his schedule, he's running

around so much. We're unable to nail him down, but he's been a guest here so many times

feel like he's been in as a candidate as well. And there's a good field of candidates.

I mean, those with state party experience, we've seen them all, Jamie Harrison, the state party chair in South Carolina,

tremendous guy, really, really good. Ray Baker, Democratic Party chair in New Hampshire.

Also, a very successful state chair up there. Sally Boynton Brown, who is the executive

director of the Idaho Democratic

Party, has done a great job building the party out there. All three of them, great people. Ray Baker

has since dropped out and endorsed Keith Ellison, but any one of them, those three people, I think,

could have done a good job in terms of building state parties, getting

state legislatures back, flipping them back to Democratic, getting more Democratic governors

elected, and building the kind of 50 state foundation that the Democratic Party needs if they're ever going to regain power in the
