Welcome on to one of our favorite pods of the year top 10 prospects in the NBA really enjoyable to do this

Every year really fun to track these players how accurate we were been doing this now since

2014 which is crazy to think about we'll probably go back and just look at some of the historical ones at the end here if we have time

But let's begin here Danny with how we do this?

Yeah, so the we'll start with eligibility so the rule that you and I have for eligibility one the player has to be in the NBA

So high school players college players international players are in-eligible

Also, they have to be basketball reference age 23 and younger the idea actually you can explain the idea behind that

Specification number yeah, well, so the basketball reference ages their age as of February 1st in a given season normally

We do this in December, but this year obviously what the later starts this season were doing it now

But still about the same amount into the season maybe a little bit past

So we're about a third of the way a little bit more than that through the season at the moment

But the reason we picked age 23 and some of these only list to

25 and younger I think 23 that's the age where just as a normal commentary

Even as just the announcer the guy does something awesome before like and can you believe that he's only 23?

Yeah, there's I think when a guy is 23 and younger

There's still a feeling that he has there's still the sky is the limit potentially on his development that there is a lot more

For him to do he's he's a prospect. That's what fun to really try to project out

Once a guy gets to 24 I think you obviously there are exceptions to this

But I think you can say right he's pretty close to getting fully formed here and so a lot of good players

Obviously have graduated out of that this year will get to who those are

But what and the other thing we should do is the is the criteria

This is not who is the best player now that is a that is a different thing
