Coming to you from bookriot.com we're in the dog days I'd say we're all I'm asked me with the dog days of summer where and I said well I think it's

late summer where it's hot and it feels like things have gone just a little too long, right?

Is that what the dog days are?

That's my understanding of it, definitely my experience of it.

My dog spends these days just like sprawled out with as much surface area of his body as

possible on the coldest parts of the floor like just absorb that cool however you can and that's I'm feeling that in my soul.

Yeah, so we're a bit in the slow news part of the year except not really there's we've got a lot of

interesting things to talk about.

I guess before we get into it, some front matter.

you would think. I know that's the same strange. And then also coming up next week we're

going to cord right after this show we'll go on the

patron feed next week we're doing a diet version of adaptation nation I didn't do the

full coverage for this I didn't do the okay thing I don't know if you did but I

read it and watch it and thought about it but I didn't go read the stuff like we do for adaptation nation a little bit of a less formal version of me and yet it's the most serious book about you could probably read in a lot of ways.

Remind me, had you both read and seen this before?

I had read it, but I read it when it was, I think, fresh out in

paperback, so probably 2006-ishish I had not seen the film okay that was new so that's
