It's a tough spot for the Vikings and for Dalvin Cook because you can't make the argument that he's not worth some of the money he's asking, but the running back position typically has not been paid.

The Vikings this offseason, though, did redo the contract of quarterback Kirk Cousins giving him $30 million a year.

I think Dalvin Cook would like to make that over the course of, say, three seasons.

And so with one year left on his contract, it's scheduled to pay in $1.3 million,

he doesn't want to go.
