What in the world is the time of Jacob's trouble?

That's what we're going to talk about today on the Prophecy Prose podcast. Well, it's funny there's different terms you hear about end times things.

You know, you hear about the chronology of, you know, the rapture and the tribulation period,

and the millennial kingdom and the sheep and goat's judgment and the beam of seat.

There's all these different things, but there's one term that you hear every once in a while and people

kind of get tripped up over it or don't know where it fits in or whether it means something

else. But it's this term we hear called the time of Jacob's trouble. So that's what we're

going to talk about today. Jeff, how can we kind of lay the groundwork

for talking about this really important component of time called the time of Jacob's trouble?

Yeah. I think a good place to begin, Todd, is it begin with the familiar and then work to the

unfamiliar. So in other words, let's begin with Jesus. So we all kind of are familiar with his life

and his ministry and our listeners and watchers

are as well.

So Christ in his Olivet discourse in the last week of his ministry, his public ministry,

in fact, just a day or so before the Lord's Supper and him talking about the rapture,

he took four of his disciples up on the Mount of Olitz,

and he begins to tell them about the end times and the apocalypse and what's going to happen.

You really get to see the end times through the lens of Christ himself.

And one of the things he does, Todd, is he describes what we call the tribulation period,

that seven-year period there. And then he gets to one point where

he says, in Matthew 24 and verse 21, he says, then there there will be a great tribulation,
