examining our culture and society the most recent, which is getting an

enormous amount of well-deserved attention, is called The Anxious Generation, how the great

rewiring of childhood is causing an epidemic of mental illness. Jonathan, welcome.

So I have three Gen Z children.

So everything in your book describes anxieties and stresses

since the invention of the iPhone and the selfie that I think

have permeated their lives.

I look at them as, you know, guinea pigs of this great, frightening experiment.

And I see the impact on them.

I see it on other people their age, even in tragic ways in some of the extended

circle of people that we know. So thank you, first of all, for writing this book. And I'd love

to ask you to begin by explaining the thesis of this book for anybody who is living under a rock

and has not heard about it yet. Yeah. Okay.
