Hi everybody this is Scott Sad I just finished a Zoom meeting with one of the

organizers of the upcoming two-day conference at Stanford University on Academic Freedom and the other members of the Zoom

meeting were my two co-panelists but I wanted to spend a few minutes just telling you a bit about the conference and apparently I found out from one of the co-organizers that there's been quite a bit of you know concern that such a conference is taking

place because you know it's very very extremist for academics in the 21st century to be defending the principle of academic freedom.

My God, what could be more extremist than that?

So I just thought I would spend a minute or two a couple of minutes telling you a bit about the upcoming conference

So this is happening at Stanford

Some of the people who will be there, I won't list everybody. You can look for the conference

schedule online if you're interested. Jonathan Hight will be there.

Jerry Coyne, both of whom, by the way, have been guests on my show in the past.

Jonathan Hight is a professor at the New York University Stern School of Business.

Jerry Coyne is a professor emeritus.

He was a professor of evolution in biology. And then Peter Teal will be there.

Richard Lowry, I got to know Richard quite well this past May when University of Texas Austin the Salem Center for Policy at

their business school invited me to give two talks one on the parasitic mind and another one on my evolution

psychology work and so I got to know whom there, you know a real honey badger a real defender for all of the you know anti woke

values that one can imagine Dorian Abbott many of you know that you know he had the issue where he I think he was going to give

a talk at MIT and was cancelled or an award I can't remember the details he's also been on my

show Lee Jissom who's a distinguished professor of psychology, will also be there.
