Hello everybody I just wanted to give a quick update on the Save Wallace Fund we launched last week for my dog Wallace who has elbow cancer.

While I have not yet had time to calculate the donations, I can definitively say that their sum total is overwhelmingly generous.

As in a couple times over the weekend I would get a notification on Venmo or PayPal

and stagger to my fainting couch only to throw a

forearm over my visage like some kind of overwhelmed Victorian FOP. That is how

immense your generosity has been. I am very grateful to everybody

who has contributed. We've gone from me worried about Wallace and his bills to me

only worried about Wallace which is exactly where my head should be.

When I catch my breath I plan to do a big entertaining thank you and properly acknowledge

everyone so do know that your proper acknowledgement that you deserve is forthcoming.

But for now, I just wanted to let you know that the Save Wallace Initiative has been a massive

help and is a testament to your generosity and my dumb-struck gratitude.

Last week, we did a big giant fiber-filled episode about the National Dead,

just a big old healthy salad of history and economics and I greatly enjoyed it and it's got a really good feedback on it but I have to admit to you after a rather daunting epic program like that I desperately want to

take a bootlegers turn and do something completely different. I am for a

week just a week I am for a week, just a week, I am tapped out on economics and history and perhaps

having listened to that very fine two hour long episode you could use a bit of a palette

cleanser as well. So we are going to take a different direction today and we're

going to explore personalities in politics.
