Tonight's bedtime story is The Three Golden Apples - an adaptation of a Greek myth by Nathaniel Hawthorne. It was first published in 1851 in his collection of stories called "A Wonder Book for Girls and Boys". A retelling of a Greek myth featuring the hero Hercules and his quest to retrieve three golden apples from the garden of the Hesperides.
