I'm your host as always, Nick Ryan. Let's begin tonight's journey with Haley, who calls their experience, The Thing, Watching Me Sleep. First of all, I want to thank you

for your podcast and allowing a safe space for those to share their experiences. I have been listening to your

podcast for two months now, and I gain a sense of togetherness, knowing that I'm not the only one

with crazy paranormal experiences. To start, I've always been sensitive to the paranormal. I actually

have had an entity of a little girl with blonde curly hair in a blue

Victorian dress follow me throughout my life. This is a story not about her, but about the thing

that joins my husband and I in our house, which we moved into about three years ago. I have

always felt like I wasn't alone in my house when I was. I always chocked it up

to it just being that little girl, whom gives me a sense of comfort and love when she's in my

presence. But this wasn't her. One night, I awoke from a horrible nightmare. I felt the sense of

someone watching me. I turned to look at my husband who

was asleep. Then I sat up, looking at my dog, Juno, who was fixated on the bedroom door, which was

open. I turned my gaze to the doorframe, and my eyes settled on a dark shadow figure standing in the

doorway. My eyes didn't leave it, as I watched it

make its way from the doorway down the stairs. I heard the creak of the handrail as if someone was

holding onto it, and making its way down the stairs. I jumped out of bed and slammed the door shot,

locking it to give me a false sense of safety. It took me a while,

but eventually I was able to fall back to sleep, and when morning time came, I awoke to the bedroom
