Summary
This Friday episode begins with new video of Phil Mickelson surfacing, and the close inspection of it that followed and what that might have yielded about his playing plans and fitness. This dovetails into a chat about reports he’s signed on for all 8 LIV Golf events, and if his career is forever debased by the potential legal fight that might come. That transitions into a dissection of more details about the Liv plans, including some horrible marketing slogans on their website and highly-priced ticket packages for events the details of which remain quite scant. There’s also a review of the near driving range fight between Kevin Na and Grayson Murray, with a separate plea for Na to be thrown off the tour. Flashback Friday focuses on the catnip of the week, Jesper Parnevik’s new look, recalling some of his great successes and eccentricities, like eating volcanic sand, during his rise in the 90s. It features several amusing Jesper quotes about his process.

| 0:00.0 | Now the shotgun's starting golf is full of mathematics, there's a lot of a lot of setup work that we have to do in order to make a tournament work, so I'm going to demonstrate to you just exactly how we do a shotgun start here. |
| 0:14.0 | And here we go. |
| 0:17.0 | All right, all right, all right. |
| 0:21.0 | Determine! |
| 0:24.0 | Start your Indian! |
| 0:36.0 | Greetings and welcome to a Friday edition of the shotgun start. It is April 29th. Andy, how are we doing? |
| 0:43.0 | Breven, I'm doing great. I spent a catnip carnival here late in the week. We are just, we got the aggregators are out, the sneaky social media experts are out, you know, playing their games, not refusing to, refusing to credit the initial reporters, you know, it is just. |
| 1:05.0 | We got a tiger and something else. |
| 1:08.0 | We are just, I love seeing how these, these thirst buckets are able to reword tweets to make it look like they're the first ones there. |
| 1:17.0 | Oh, you're getting in there, yeah. Well, we must hit the fucking retweet button on the people that, people that scoop it, don't just reword it for your own appropriation, give some credit where you found it. |
| 1:31.0 | I do love that Oklahoma, they're just getting a red meat thrown in their laps. |
| 1:36.0 | Like they, they've been doing the Lincoln Riley thing and though, who's going to be the next coach? Like these guys are experts, you know, these mysterious Twitter accounts and any redose of it. |
| 1:47.0 | If that's how you pronounce Bunky Perkins, people like that that have been, I mean, they are sharpened in their tools for decades on this kind of sort of cloak and dagger investigation. |
| 1:59.0 | They got tiger early. There's, there's, there's guys all over Southern Hills from the bushes with like guys with Twitter accounts named Boomer, you know, Boomer Sooner 245 and go pokes, all these, and there's flight tracking happening. |
| 2:13.0 | This has never been a better time for Oklahoma and they're, they're bringing their skills to the golf world. So that was kind of fun to see that blow up today. We'll get the tiger in a minute. |
| 2:22.0 | Let's talk about another cell phone video. And while we're at it, I, we got credit, they threw another log in the pit over at the fire pit. I know they're big on the kind of puns and bringing their branding into every little phrase here and there. |
| 2:36.0 | So they got one, they get a log in the pit there and had a video at tweeted on what would it be now Wednesday night, a fill taking a cut. |
| 2:45.0 | It was time well spent purportedly fill purportedly fill who they could be somewhat up for for a right guard of the NFL draft tonight. I'm not sure that if Bill is joining the Husky boy ranks, he's in there. |
| 3:03.0 | The universe is balancing out, you know, as Bryson drops a few and I'm not, this is not a critique. This is not a shaming Mike's not. |
| 3:13.0 | This is not a critique. It's not a shaming in any way is my mic not on. I don't know. It just sounds. Sounds like your clip and like. |
| 3:23.0 | No, I'm on. I found a game now. Yeah, maybe kids are fiddling with it and health and head. |
| 3:31.0 | So much better. Really? The game was too high. So it happens. You know, kids, kids, they come in. People don't realize how hard it is to be a podcast. |
