Hello and welcome back to Kindled. Today I have the second part of my conversation with Marcia Montenegro, where we are discussing the theology of John Mark Comer.

And in this episode, we will talk more about the implications of his approach to Christianity, which takes a very contemplative spirituality flavor and twist, as you will

see in this episode. And what are some of the problems with that concerns and ditches on either

side that we can fall into if we approach our faith as though it is missing this critical

element of contemplative spirituality,

as John Mark Comer does. So that's what you have in today's episode. And I just want to remind

And that's one reason it's so dangerous because it's not apparent that it's really

that unbiblical. And that's, you know, it's the problem. Um, another, another big issue I had,

I had here is where he talks about Jesus believing in you.

And this reminded me of Rob Bell because Rob Bell says that in Velvet Elvis, that Jesus

believed in Peter when he was trying to get Peter to walk on there, telling Peter to walk on

the water.

It's because he believed in Peter and he believed Peter could do it.

That was, and I remember reading that at the time years ago and I was like, what?
