If we thought the bull's eye was on Texas before, it's on us even bigger now.

And so to go into this thing thinking we're not going to get every team's best shot,

we're kidding ourselves. Hello and welcome in. It's always college football. Today is Monday, June 24th and we hope that you're enjoying the show,

wherever it is you're getting the show.

We know that we have a holiday weekend coming up.

We are very much looking forward to everything that's going on

throughout July 4th, but we have a little football and a few news and notes that we want to get to today.

We have a terrific visit with head coach of Texas Longhorn, Steve Sarkizan.

He's going to join the show, he's been a friend of the show over the years. We're going to talk about the long horns of expectations. We saw the

writing on the wall last year. A lot of people said, well, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, you can't put

Texas in. Texas is always, always overhipe going on season.

Well, we saw through it.

We knew that that was a legitimate roster

that could play with anybody in the sport.

And they did.

And by season's end, nobody was playing better than the Texas Longhorns.

They unfortunately came up just a little bit short in the semi-final game.

If not for maybe a slightly better throw and maybe a slightly better time jump in the back end of the

end zone against Washington they might have been playing the Michigan Wolverines in

the National Championship either way Steve Sarkeesian entering into the SEC will hit the

challenges of that change the challenges of putting together a roster,

the challenges of continuing to meet and exceed expectations with a different group of players.
