The trade deadline in the NFL is fast approaching, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the teams

heavily talked about when it comes to potential moves. Wide receiver is the big ticket right now for

the Steelers, who are reportedly heavily in the market for one to add to the mix for quarterback Aaron

Rogers. But with GM Omar Kahn stating earlier in the market for one to add to the mix for quarterback Aaron Rogers.

But with GM Omar Kahn stating earlier in the offseason, he didn't want to trade away,

2026 draft picks, and the Steelers largely not having a need for a true wide receiver two

due to the heavy usage of tight ends in the offense, here's hoping Kahn doesn't trade for a receiver.

Instead, he should look to address the defense, whether that's additional defensive line depth needed after the Daniel

Aquale injury. It wouldn't even hurt to add a cornerback to the mix, too, as Darius Slay is moving

closer and closer to unplayable territory, and Brandon Eccles struggling in a larger role.

How the Steelers look in week nine against the NFL's best in the Indianapolis Colts will be rather telling.

Their backs are against the wall.

The lack of fight has been criticized by teammates and the season appears to be slipping away.

If there was any time for a huge response, it's now.

If the Steelers can do that, maybe that gives Con the push needed to add to the roster and continue to try to compete this season. If not,

it would be wise for the GM to hold on to the 2026 picks and rebuild this team for the future
