Good morning, everyone, and welcome back to another Mornings with the Masters.

We're to devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

We are picking up with the new devotion on the Bible up titled Trust, Hustle, and Rest.

Fun fact, it's actually written by a friend of ours, which is kind of cool. There's a link to

that in the description if you guys want to fall along. And as always, I'm going to read the

scripture that I'm also going to pick with the Devo. The scripture is Joshua chapter 6 versus

1 through 5. And it says this. Now the gates of Jericho were tightly shut because the people were afraid of the Israelites. No one was allowed to go out or in. But the Lord said to Joshua, see, I have given Jericho into your hands, its king, and all its strong warriors. You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days.

Seven priests will walk ahead of the ark, each carrying a ram's horn.

On the seventh day, you are to march around the town seven times with the priests blowing the horns.

When you hear the priests give one long blast on the ram's horn, have all the people shout as loud as they can.

Then the walls of the town will collapse and the people can charge straight into the town.

The devotional is titled, Trust, Hustle, and Rest. And it says this.

Hustle has got to be one of the most popular buzzwords in business today.

Shark Tank investors press entrepreneurs to hustle harder to generate sales. Everyone seems to be working on their

side hustle while keeping their 9 to 5 job. But what does the Bible have to say about our hustle?

On the one hand, scripture clearly celebrates hard work. Colossians 323 commands

whatever you do, work at it with all your heart. But while Christians conjoining culture

celebration of hard work, we must also wrestle with the biblical truth that it is God,

not us, or our hustle, that produces results, Deuteronomy 8, verses 17 and 18.

As Christians, we must embrace the tension between hard work and trusting God in order to find true rest.

Joshua 6 provides an excellent case study for what it looks like to embrace this tension well.
